Terms of Service

These terms set out the conditions for using Choicast (choicast.com, "the Service").

By starting to use the Service you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

The Service streams your PC screen from your browser and issues a public URL that plays in VRChat video players and similar.

Each stream ends after 15 minutes. It can be extended once, to a maximum of 30 minutes. These limits may change without notice.

You sign in to the Service with a Discord account.

You are responsible for managing your own account.

The following are prohibited when using the Service.

A stream can be watched by anyone who knows the URL.

Please do not share a screen that contains confidential or private information.

The screen you share can unintentionally reveal information that identifies you — notifications, tabs, bookmarks, file names, your real name and so on. Because you choose what to share, checking for such exposure is your responsibility, and the operator is not liable for any resulting identification or other harm.

The Service does not save stream video or audio on its servers for later playback.

Select “Start recording” during a stream to make a video on your device. Once “Saved in this browser” appears after stopping, you can close the page and retrieve it later in the same browser.

Recordings stay in this browser for one week after recording ends, up to 10 recordings and 2GB total (1GB per recording). Expired recordings are also cleared on your next visit; saving an 11th removes the oldest. Closing the page while recording or saving may lose that recording. Clearing browser data or running low on storage can also remove recordings, so download any you need to keep. To free space, delete recordings from this list after downloading. Downloaded files are not automatically deleted. The list remains after sign-out and is accessible to anyone using this browser.

You are responsible for managing and using the files you record.

The Service is provided as is, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted streams, consistent latency, or playback in any particular world.

The operator is not liable for any damage arising from your use of the Service, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

The operator may change the contents of the Service, or suspend it, without notice.

These terms may be revised as needed. A revised version takes effect once it is published on this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

Any dispute relating to the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Japanese courts.

Streaming the following content is prohibited.

Report streams that violate these terms using the form at /en/report/. No login is required.

We review reports and stop streams that violate these terms. In an emergency, also use VRChat’s reporting tools. An immediate response is not guaranteed.
